The Addis Ababa City Administration Farmers and City Agriculture Development Commission was established as a new entity under Proclamation No. 74/2014 and a study on the change in the basic work process has been conducted and implemented.
የአዲስ አበባ ከተማ አስተዳደር አርሶ አደርና ከተማ ግብርና ልማት ኮሚሽን እንደ አዲስ በአዋጅ ቁጥር 74/2014 ተቋቁሞና የመሰረታዊ ሥራ ሂደት ለውጥ ጥናት ተጠንቶ ወደ ትግበራ ገብቷል፡፡ ለኮሚሽኑ መቋቋም መነሻ ምክንያቶች በከተማው አስተዳደሩ የመልካም አስተዳደር ጥያቄ ሆኖ የቆየውን የአርሶ አደሮች በልማት ምክንያት ከይዞታቸው የተነሱ አርሶ አደሮች በአግባቡና በዘላቂነት ማቋቋምና በይዞታቸው ላይ መልሶ የማልማት ጥያቄን መመለስና በቂ የሆነ የካሳ ክፍያ መክፍል አለመቻል፣ለአርሶ አደሩ የስራ እድልና የመስሪያ ቦታ አለማመቻቸት፣ የመሬት ይዞታ ባለቤትነት መብት መፍጠር ባለመቻሉ፣ በአርሶ አደሩ የሚነሱ የመሰረተ ልማት ጥያቄዎች በአግባቡ መመለስ ባለመቻሉ፣ የከተማው ነዋሪ በከተማ ግብርና ዘርፍ እንዲሳተፍ ለማድረግ፣ ምርትና ምርታወማነት መጨመር የሚያስችሉ ግብዓቶችና ቴክኖሎጅ ማቅረብ፣ ሙያዊ ድጋፍና ምክር መስጠት በሌላ በኩል የከተማ የግብርና ልማትን ለማዘመን የከተማ ግብርና ኤክስቴንሽን ስርዓት ለመዘርጋት፣ የእንስሳት ጤና፣ የኳራንቲንና የግብርና ግብዓቶች ጤንነትና ደህንነት ለማረጋገጥ፣ የእጽዋትና የእንስሳት ዝርያ ማሻሻል አገልግሎት ለመስጠት፣ የገቢያ ትስስር ስርዓት ለመዘርጋት እንዲሁም በከተማው ውስጥ የሚታየውን የግብርና ውጤቶች አቅርቦት ችግር ማሻሻል የኑሮ ውድነትን ማረጋጋትና የአመጋገብና ስርዓት ማሻሻል የሚሉት የሚጠቀሱ

The aim is to ensure the benefit of the community by widely involving the community in urban agriculture, implementing an extension system that is suitable for the city, establishing farmers in a sustainable manner, designing new production projects, creating awareness, providing certification, inspection and regulatory services, and promoting plant and animal resource development.
